LEWISTON – The Idaho food bank needed 500 more turkeys. And on Tuesday, Potlatch #1 Federal Credit Union stepped up and provided.

"We like to support the Idaho Food Bank for their different activities and programs around town and annually we like to support their turkey drive. “We supported the turkey drive last year and this year again," said President and CEO Chris Loseth. "We were able to step up and buy 500 turkeys to help people in the Valley that are hungry."

The 500 turkeys will help fill the food bank warehouse and reach the goal of giving out 2,500 turkeys this holiday season.

"It's important to us, because all of the people in the Valley are important to us and we've spent several years in the past doing these types of functions ourselves. So when we work with another organization that can do the administration and can take care of that part of it, it makes it easier for us to help," said Loseth.
