MOSCOW - A chip truck driver survived a wild crash just south of Moscow Monday night.

The crash happened at around 7 p.m. On Tuesday morning the trailer was being emptied of chips and readied to be moved.

Idaho State Police said Gregory Hunt, 50, of Coeur d'Alene was headed south on 95 when he failed to negotiate the curve. The semi went off the road and into a ditch, then flipped on its side.

The road was dry at the time of the crash. Hunt was wearing a seat belt. He suffered some cuts and bruises and was transported to Gritman where he was treated and released. ISP says they issued him a citation.

The highway was temporarily closed Tuesday morning so crews could get the semi out of the ditch.
