LEWISTON - The investigation continues into a motorcycle accident Thursday that sent a Lewiston woman to the hospital.

It happened just after 6:00 p.m. as two motorcycles were traveling together on 11th Avenue.

"The two motorcycles were traveling west in the 1800 block of 11th Avenue, said Nick Krakalia, with the Lewiston Police Department. “The gold colored one was on the outside, it came too close to the right side of the other motorcycle and part of the motorcycle or her foot, hit the right leg of the other driver causing them to crash."

Police said the driver of the red motorcycle, 37-year-old Constance L Parrish, lost control and collided with the other motorcycle, driven by Robin S Reed, with passenger Terry D Kelly.

Parrish was taken to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center.

"She had head and facial injuries and she was unconscious at the time of transportation," said Krakalia. "The other driver complained of leg injury but declined medical attention at this time.”

The LPD major accident investigation team responded to the incident. Police said the riders were not wearing helmets. Police do not believe speed was a factor, but said alcohol may be involved.

Parish was listed in serious condition Friday night.
