Do you love a parade?
Here's what's at stake in the Lewiston Roundup parade competition. By Stephanie Smith
LEWISTON - Get out your cowboy hats because it's time to start thinking about the Lewiston Roundup.
And organizers said now is the time to sign up for the parade. "We get about 125 applications in for the parade," said President and CEO of the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce Keith Havens. "So if you want to get your business or organization in the parade, you need to do so and it is so simple." Havens said it is free to sign up and there are prizes for the top floats. "This year’s theme is cowboys, blue skies and 8 second rides, and the float or entry that best represents that theme will win the Governors Trophy for $150 cash and second place will receive $100 dollars," said Haven. To sign up go to www.lewistonroundup.org. The parade is September 6. |
