LEWISTON - A T-bone collision Friday morning on Thain Grade slowed traffic for about 20 minutes.
Lewiston Police Officer Doc White said he responded to the scene just before 11:30 a.m. "When the light turned from green to red, the gentleman in the northbound lane didn't see the light switch, it switched a little bit quicker than he could react,” said White. “The vehicle in the turn lane was coming out, but he couldn't avoid the accident." White said 84-year-old William Lind of Lewiston and his passenger were both okay, but the driver of the T-boned Lincoln Continental, 77-year-old Ted Rudnicki of Arizona complained of head and neck pain. “There were possible injuries right at first,” said White. ”The gentleman in the turning lane said that he hit his head in the car. Medics were dispatched and checked him out. He's fine now." White said Thain was not closed during the investigation, but traffic was slowed. |
