CLARKSTON - It's arguably the coolest new business in town.

Kiwi Air just set up shop in Clarkston next to the Quality Inn. Owner Mark Stanton will take people to new heights to get the best view of the region.

"There's a basic 15 minute tour, just around the Valley, so it would take in Clarkston, Lewiston," said Stanton. "A lot of people like to do that, they like to go look at their house, so we can do that. Another tour we have, we go down the Snake River to the first dam and circle around there and then go up on to the Palouse, Moscow, Pullman."

Stanton also has tours to Dworshak, and a 2 hour tour down Hells Canyon.

"It ranges from $45 per person for the short tour and the long tour down to Hells Canyon is around $320 dollars per person," he said.

Stanton said he hopes others besides tourists will check out the sights, that locals will go up for a new perspective.

"You just see things that you have possibly seen before but you've never seen it like you can from a helicopter. It's an absolutely unique experience."

Stanton says If you have a fear of flight, the helicopter is a smooth ride. And Stanton is no rookie to the wild blue yonder.

"I've been flying for over 20 years, I've been flying helicopters now for over 8 years," said Stanton.

You can call Kiwi Air at 509-254-4269. It is located at the corner of 9th and Port Drive.
