Truck rolls under Southway Bridge
By Matt Loveless
LEWISTON - Two men walk away from an afternoon rollover in Lewiston. It happened just before 1:00 p.m. Friday.
Lewiston Police say the driver of the pickup was taking the Snake River Avenue exit off of Bryden Canyon Road, when he tried to down shift to slow down the truck. Police say the size of the truck and its load kept it from being able to stop, and it skidded across Snake River Avenue, hit the guardrail, and came to rest on it's side under the Southway Bridge. The driver and his passenger were not injured, and no other cars were hit by the truck. Police say they don't believe there were any other factors were involved in the rollover. |
