'Caught on camera' suspect appears in court
LEWISTON - Police say it was a bad decision.

It was some clear video and it was a strange coincidence and the result was a Clarkston man facing a judge Monday.

Last week, the story grabbed national headlines simply because of how unusual it was.

Police say Michael Millhouse had two pictures in two unrelated stories in the Lewiston Morning Tribune last week. One was a holiday photo of him painting a window. The other was a freeze frame of surveillance video that allegedly shows him walking out of a Zip Trip food store with a woman's wallet.

Clarkston Police say Millhouse admitted to taking the wallet and spending some of the $600 the owner claimed was inside.

At his arraignment Monday morning in Asotin County Superior Court, Millhouse made no statement regarding the incident.

Millhouse is due back in court on January 7, when he may enter a plea to the charge.
