Missing 2-year-old Idaho girl found, mother arrested

NAMPA, Idaho - Authorities have found a missing Nampa, Idaho girl in New Mexico, police said Wednesday afternoon.

Catelyn Sandoval, 2, was located in Farmington, New Mexico with her mother, Gerogina Sandova. The 26-year-old mother was arrested without incident.

Police issued an Amber Alert Tuesday for Catelyn. Officials say it was issued after Gerogina came from out of state and took the child in the middle of the night.

Police say the mother has made suicidal threats to the father and is a known illegal drug user.

Nampa Police said Gerogina was taken into custody on a $250,000 warrant for Custodial Interference and is being held in the San Juan County Detention Center in New Mexico.
