Helicopter crash victims remembered at memorial

LEWISTON - Family and friends gathered Tuesday to remember Larry Barrett and Dani Schiff.

Memorial services were held for the two Idaho Fish and Game biologists, both of Lewiston, who died in last week's helicopter crash In Kamiah.

The pilot Perry J. Krinitt, of Belgrade, Mont., also died.

More than a hundred attended services at the Elks Lodge to pay their respects. Fish and Game officials did not return to work Tuesday in observance of the memorial and flags flew at half mast at the Fish and Game office.

Meanwhile the investigation into the crash continues. On Tuesday, Lewis County Public Information Officer Jeanette Dreadfulwater said the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are still looking for a cause.

She said the helicopter and debris have been moved from the site and those living in the home where the helicopter crashed have been allowed back in.
