ASOTIN - Patrick S. Dalton made his first appearance in court Monday morning.

He appeared via video screen in Asotin County Superior Court before Judge William Acey. Dalton was arrested last week after the Quad Cities Drug Task force asked for the public's assistance in locating the 26-year-old from Clarkston. He has been charged with three counts of forgery, one count of possession of meth and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He could face five years in jail and $10,000 in fines for the forgery and meth possession charges and 90 days and a $1,000 fine for the paraphernalia charge. Judge Acey appointed attorney Neil Cox to the case. Dalton is being held in the Asotin County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Whitman County Sheriff Brett Myers was grateful for the public's help in this case.

"I'd like to thank the public in their assistance and willingness to provide law enforcement information regarding Pat Dalton as it was instrumental in his arrest," he said in a press release. "More arrests stemming from this investigation are likely."
