Perfect grades have Rachel Davis attaining valedictorian at LHS
LEWISTON, ID - KLEW cares about you and that's why each week during the school year, we team up with Lewiston Orthopaedic Associates to highlight an outstanding local high school student.

Reporter Sophia Miraglio introduces you to Lewiston High School senior Rachel Davis.

When I say this Bengal can do it all, I'm not lying. Because not only does this LHS senior play two instruments and participate in school clubs but also manages to have a 4.0 GPA. So without further ado here's this weeks Academic All-Star Rachel Davis.

"I've been keeping my grades up all through Junior High and I thought well if I've done it this long I can keep going," said Davis.

And it's that can-do attitude that has her on track to being this years valedictorian and a possible pharmacist in the future.

"I hope to go to WSU and study bio-chemistry," said Davis.

And while her sights are set on the future she's embracing all high school has to offer.

"I started french horn in fifth grade and then I wanted to be in jazz band so I started trombone," said Davis.

So how does this musical genius and all around nice person manage to get everything done?

"It's time management and push myself because if I slack and say one assignment doesn't matter well it does, it does matter," said Davis.

Congratulations Rachel. You're this week's Academic All-Star.
