LEWISTON, ID - KLEW cares about you, and that's why each week during the school year, we team up with Lewiston Orthopaedic Associates to highlight an outstanding local high school student.

Sophia Miraglio introduces us to Lewiston High School Senior, Erika Mullikin.

This Lewiston High School Bengal is active on the schools cheer squad, part of the award winning student newspaper, and has an outstanding GPA. Her name is Erika Mullikin, Senior at Lewiston High School, and this week's "Academic All-Star."

"I've been working really hard ever since I was a freshman," said Erika. "Last year I get a 4.0 GPA usually I have one 'B' so I was really proud of myself last year."

Going on after high school wont be difficult for Erika who has a 3.9 GPA. So where's she headed to next year?

"I plan on going to Boise State as an accounting major. I've already been accepted so I am really excited," said Erika.

And while the senior is busy filling out scholarship forms and preparing for her bright future, she's also embracing her last year as Bengal.

"With basketball and football it's just a season but cheerleading is all year so it's really an amazing thing," said Erika.

Congratulations Erika for all you've achieved and will achieve and for being this week's "Academic All-Star."
