Staying organized is how Aisha Lawson juggles track, FCCLA and grades
ASOTIN, WA - KLEW cares about you and that's why each week during the school year, we team up with Lewiston Orthopaedic Associates to highlight an outstanding local high school student.

KLEW News introduces you to Asotin-Anatone Junior-Senior High School student Aisha Lawson.

This hard-working young woman is going to be one of the next-generation of doctors that you can turn to. Her name is Aisha Lawson and she's this week's "Academic All-Star."

"I job-shadowed earlier this year and it just reassured me that, that's the path that I want to go down," said Aisha.

An OBGYN hopeful...Aisha is already accepted to the University of Oregon.

"I think that since it doesn't bother me I should take advantage of it because it's a lot of hard work and it's hard to find someone who's willing to do that," said Aisha.

And that's not all. Aisha stays busy outside of keeping her GPA at a 3.9.

"I did cheer-leading for three years," said Aisha. "But I took it off for senior year. So now I'm just doing track. And I'm in FCCLA so I'm an officer in that and in National Honor Society. "

Juggling it all is tough...but she makes it work.

"I just make sure that I set aside enough time for everything," said Aisha. "It takes a lot of organization but it's worth it."

Congratulations Aisha, you're this week's "Academic All-Star."
