Moscow High School senior Linyi Gao By Matt Loveless
Each week KLEW News teams up with Lewiston Orthopedic Associates to feature an outstanding local high school student.
This week we meet Moscow's Linyi Gao. This seniors future goals, simply stated. He wants to make a difference. He's involved in just about every math and science opportunity at Moscow High School. "One of my favorites is future problem solving," said Gao. "We just sit down for two hours and creatively work through a problem of the current world situated in the future." He's taken five advanced math classes at UI. Planning ahead is something he's done his whole life. "I felt it would be something to challenge myself, so I bypassed third grade," said Gao. "I just love to learn, participate in a lot of activities, just broaden my horizons." And remember I said he wants to make a difference? He's got big plans. "I'd love to go to Cal-Tech or Stanford leaning toward some kind of biomedical field," said Gao. "I believe that something where I could make a difference." Congratulations Linyi.
