Standout Student Still Finds Time for Sports

Weston Burrup's schedule is loaded up with AP classes.

LEWISTON, ID - Weston Burrup is a senior, but he's taking so many AP classes, you'd think he was already in college.

"AP Calculus, AP government, AP English," said Burrup. "As well as a leadership class. And then anatomy and some of the other regular classes."

Still, Weston sports a 4.0 GPA, is active in church and youth groups and still finds time for a little competitive sport. He plays tennis, soccer and ultimate frisbee.

"I like the competition and I like the running and the catching," said Burrup. "It's different then the other sports, throwing a frisbee and I like that and I like being in shape."

After High school, Weston plans to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And then pursue a career in medicine.

"I'll attend BYU and try and master in Biology," said Burrup. "I like learning about the human body and all the anatomy stuff, I guess you could say. "
