Asotin County Library offers the Microsoft IT Academy program in Asotin County to equip residents with real-world technology skills needed to thrive in the 21st century economy. Asotin County Library joins more than 15,000 Microsoft IT Academies around the world. Academy courses are self-paced and free to Washington residents. Microsoft Certification is also available free of charge except for the certification testing fee. The Library is offering assistance with registration Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:30 and Wednesday mornings from 10:30 to noon at the Downtown Library, 417 Sycamore Street, Clarkston. Microsoft IT Academy will provide a convenient and flexible learning environment where students can get hands-on experience with the latest technology to gain a competitive edge in today’s job market or the next step in their academics. Those interested in signing up for the Academy can come to Asotin County Library (Downtown, Heights or Asotin Branches) or go to our website, www.aclib.org to get instructions for signing up. Once they have signed up, participants can take courses from any computer with internet access, whether it be at home, school, work, or the nearest coffee shop. The Downtown Library has computers specially purchased for the Academy, which are set aside for participants to use.
