On Saturday, July 13 from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, resident artisan Carrie Vielle will hold a workshop on maintaining a travel sketchbook at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown. In addition to general sketching-on-location techniques, Carrie will share lots of creative ideas on how you can record the sites, sounds, smells and more of your journeys! Says Carrie: “One of my greatest joys when traveling is capturing unique memories with a pencil over a camera!” This class is for ages 16 and older. Drawing experience is helpful but not necessary. The cost is $75 with students bringing materials listed on the website calendar. Registrations must be received by Thursday, July 9. Register online using the form at the top of the calendar page at www.artisanbarn.org or call 509-229-3414.
