On Sunday, March 24 from 2 to 4 pm, Richard Kriehn with his accomplished friends Dave Snider and Tim Williams will perform at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown. This will be a performance of mostly acoustic mix, featuring Richard on the mandolin, but also including the fiddle, bass, guitar and harmonica, playing Brazilian, jazz, bluegrass, folk and swing. They will play some originals along with some obscure cover tunes. The cost is $10 at the door. Come early for good seating.

Richard Kriehn was, up until recently, an Instructor and the Academic Advisor, for the School of Music at Washington State University, where he taught Guitar Class, Intro to Music Technology as well as private lessons in mandolin, violin and guitar. Richard has performed with the Washington-Idaho Symphony, Arkansas Symphony, Alabama Symphony, Boise Philharmonic, Nashville Chamber Orchestra and has toured the United States, Canada and Japan with Nashville recording artists Michael Peterson, Aaron Tippin and Travis Tritt. Starting in 2010, Richard has become a regular performer on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion, which boasts 3.5 million listeners, every weekend. Richard currently lives in Colton, Washington with his wife Danette and their three children. This may be the last opportunity to hear this gifted musician play live because the Kriehn family is moving to Minnesota this spring.
