A very snowy Moscow road.
Moscow City Officials say the city fleet typically works two shifts--one in the morning and one at night, to ensure that all drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists are able to travel safely on the roads.
A typical day for the crew begins at around 4 a.m., clearing roads, sidewalks and pathways but officials say on days like today when the snowfall is heavy, the fleet works overtime.
"All of the employees within the public works department sort of band together when we need help, depending on the size of the storm, the duration of the storm and if we have to go to shifts around the clock," said Moscow Streets and Fleets Manager Tyler Palmer.
