LEWISTON, ID - An arraignment date has been set for a man who, in August, allegedly told the Lewiston Police department there was a bomb in the city.

Frederick Purdin, 45, made an appearance in court Wednesday. Purdin is charged with one felony count after he allegedly told police there was a bomb in a back pack at a taco stand across from the Nez Perce County Prosecutor's Office.

According to court documents, Purdin knew there was no bomb and that he was making a false report.

He is also charged with a misdemeanor count for calling 911 and reporting he had a bomb. Purdin will appear in 2nd District Court at 9 a.m. Wednesday March 21st.
